Welcome to the Tournament...

Wellworthy Bowls Club Photo

Follow the signs to Portland and when driving through Wyke Regis look for Dowsett Tyres on your right at a set of traffic lights. Pass through the lights and then take the second left into Dumbarton Road. The Bowls Club can be found about 200-yards along Dumbarton Road on the right hand side and offers great views of Portland and its Harbour. There is a car park at the front or if that is busy there is an overflow car park behind the bowls green. This year, 2011, Wellworthy will apart from staging numerous early rounds of the Tournament Competitions be where the qualifying rounds to determine the finalists of the Springfield Cup competition will be played.

Remember...
If you are visiting the beach, Town centre, Melcombe Regis or Greenhill Bowls Club regularly during the Tournament week why not buy a concessionary parking ticket at the pre-Tournament Sunday night get-together at the Wellworthy Sports & Social Club. It can be used every day during the Tournament week in the long stay car parks at Lodmoor and the Town Centre Swannery car parks. This year ticket price will be £14.00 which given the usual price for public car parking in Weymouth represents excellent value for money.
